Whenever you surf to other blogs or website and if the article or post attract your attention, you sometime feel like to contribute some comment.By doing that, you increase the possibility of other bloggers noticing your comments and out of curiosity they may just visit your blog. This is especially true if:
1. Your comment is constructive and relevant.
2. Your comment was posted on a heavily trafficked blog.
And how about if you are not keen to leave a comment but still have the desire to attract other bloggers to drop by at your blog ? This strategy involved leaving your footprints or commentary in the chat widget.
Some bloggers installed a chat widget on their site to allow visitor to post a simple and quick message. This actually give you a chance to capitalize this situation and leave simple comment on the chat widget. The comment can be something like "Hello to all", "Greetings to all", etc. Something short, something courteous and nothing spamful.
Leaving a message in the chat widget is the same as leaving a permanent comment in an article except at article's comment is permanent.
How to identify blog with installed chat widget
To start off, you will recognize the blog that is installed with chat widget if the widget allow visitors to input their Name, Email/URL and short message. In addition, the chat widget is usually copied from these two popular chat widget providers, namely, cbox.ws and shoutmix.com
Thus, whenever you see a cbox or showmix widget on other blogs, make it a point to leave your short message. I have being doing that and the traffic may not be great but my blog still once a time, get visitors who saw my footprint artworks on the cbox or showmix.
